Meet Amir
Amir graduated High School as Class President from Northwestern Edison High, where he played Football, Basketball, and Baseball against the best athletes across the Saginaw Valley conference. Amir stood out in multiple sports and likes to say, “pound for pound, the Saginaw Valley Conference was the hardest hitting conference in the state”.
After a brief stint at Bethune Cookman University, Amir enlisted in the US Navy in 2006 at the height of the Global War on Terrorism. While serving, Amir was stationed in Italy, and worked security at Guantanamo Bay. While stationed at Guantanamo, Amir worked in the prison camps as Watch Commander, supervising all officers and dealt with some of the world’s most dangerous terrorists up close, learning on the job how to handle criminals in a politically charged harsh environment. Later transitioning to an Intelligence Analyst from 2010-2013, Amir helped foil terrorist plots and keep Americans safe.
Amir respects all faiths – but having served at Guantanamo Bay, he has zero tolerance for extremists who pervert Islam into something evil. He believes strongly that America must defend Israel – a global force for good in a dangerous region of the world – aid them in combating terrorism, and ensure that state sponsors of terrorism like Iran never gain access to a nuclear weapon.
After leaving the military, Amir finished his degree at John Jay School of Criminal Justice in New York before working in federal law enforcement, which up until his run for Congress, he has done in various capacities ever since.
From his time in the military to providing protection and security to Presidential Cabinet secretaries of both parties and responding to protests-turned-violent – keeping Americans safe is in Amir’s blood.
Not one to back down from a fight, when Amir decided that it was time to hang up his badge and move home, he decided to sign on to serve his country in a different way – by running for Congress in Michigan’s 8th Congressional District. From Flint to Bay City to Saginaw to Midland, the Saginaw Valley Conference has had enough career politicians who plead for our votes but only look out for themselves.
A committed America First Republican, Amir is running for Congress to restore opportunity and jobs to the Saginaw Valley and provide reinforcements in Congress for Donald Trump’s agenda against career politicians like Kristen McDonald-Rivet, and her dangerous and expensive radical open-border and green new deal policies.
Amir has two daughters, Naylani (18) and Jayla (5) – for him, restoring the promise and opportunity of the Saginaw Valley is personal. In Congress, Amir will oppose all tax increases and will fight for a total income tax-cut for teachers, nurses, cops and first responders making under $100k a year. He will champion President Trump’s fair-trade agenda, protect life, stand up to China, and fight against Democrat’s open-border policies.

Making a 21st Century Economy Work for Mid Michigan
Make no mistake, AI is coming. China cannot be allowed to win the 21st century space-race.
We must take care to ensure that it is developed using American tech, while preserving and growing American jobs.For 50 years in mid-Michigan our leaders have left us poorly positioned for the future but now it’s here. It’s critical that we reinvest in the American workforce to better compete against China in this arena; promoting trades and incentivizing the restoration of blue-collar jobs here at home.
We must also ensure that America remains a global leader in digital currency and the digital economy while ensuring clear and fair rules of the road that protect consumers and investors without picking winners and losers.
Restoring Opportunity for Mid-Michiganders
Michigan was once the land of opportunity – Amir’s grandparents settled in Flint during the Great Migration to work at General Motors. Decades of Democratic leadership have stripped us of opportunity and left economic stagnation in their wake.
Amir supports President Trump and his agenda to rebalance our trade deals and restore good-paying blue collar opportunities to our middle class from Flint, to Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland.
In Congress, Amir will oppose all tax increases, and will fight for a total income tax-cut for teachers, nurses, cops and first responders making under $100k a year. Together we will restore the kind of economy that once made Michigan the envy of the midwest.
Standing for Life and Restoring Family Values
Amir is pro-life, making exceptions in cases of rape and incest, and when the life of the mother is at stake. He also supports the blessing of IVF, which has helped create miracles for many families – including his own, as his daughter Jayla was conceived using IVF.
Further, Amir knows that culturally, we need to prioritize the nuclear family again. Too many of our boys and girls grow up in broken homes, even with single moms and dads doing the best that they can.
Protecting our Children from Indoctrination and the Far-Left Agenda
Where the far-left indoctrination agenda infiltrates our schools, it is our duty to stand up against it. The radical gender ideology of boys becoming girls, using girls bathrooms, and playing girls sports has got to stop.
Amir wholeheartedly supports President Trump’s common sense agenda of ending woke DEI nonsense, and defunding these radical ideologies – and will join that fight in Congress to protect our children.
Amir also believes that college is not the only answer for our children and will work in Congress to incentivize trade schools and end the demonization of blue collar work.
Caring for our Troops and Wounded Warriors
Amir proudly served in the Navy during the Global War on Terrorism. He had friends who made the ultimate sacrifice, and saw those who made it home come back with mental scars. When Americans sign on the dotted line, they deserve to be taken care of when they return. In Congress, he’ll fight to improve the VA, and increase funding for veterans health care – both physical and mental.
Combatting Islamic Extremism Abroad and Protecting America
During the Global War on Terrorism, Amir was stationed at Guantanamo Bay. It was there that he protected Americans from the worst of the worst that Al Qaeda and ISIS had to offer and as an intelligence analyst he has helped foil terrorist plots and keep the Homeland safe. He knows first-hand the danger of Islamic extremism abroad.
Israel is America’s greatest ally abroad in a dangerous region of the world and a global force for good. We must support Israel’s efforts to combat terrorism in the Middle East, and ensure that they have the resources to defend themselves in our shared mission of combatting terror and preventing nuclear proliferation by state sponsors of terrorism.
Amir knows that 99.9% of Muslims practice peacefully. However, those who attempt to poison the faith to do others harm should be given no quarter.
Securing our Borders, Safeguarding our Streets, and Combatting Drug Trafficking
For far too long Democrat politicians have ignored the border and our broken immigration system for political gain. Amir wholeheartedly supports President Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants, close the border, and stop the flow of fentanyl and other harmful drugs from destroying our children’s lives and community fabric.
Further, as a federal law enforcement officer who has responded to violent protests Amir knows that the crime in our streets is out of control as a result of Democrats’ radical policies that have coddled criminals and made our once quiet mid-Michigan communities unsafe.
Amir will support law enforcement and champion policies to get more cops on our streets, such as eliminating income taxes for police and other first responders making less than $100k per year. He will also oppose every radical Democrat-led effort to bring cashless bail to Michigan.
Protecting the Promise of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
Social Security and Medicare are a sacred promise to our seniors. Amir will fight to ensure those promises and will never cut Social Security or Medicare. He supports Medicaid as a critical resource for working families, and will never vote to cut Medicaid for working people who rely on it for care.
Safeguarding Mid-Michigan’s Environment and Improving Critical Infrastructure
Across our state, Michiganders take pride in having the most beautiful lakes and rivers in the country. Yet in the past decade, MI-08 residents have been impacted by dam failures and the infamous contamination of Flint’s drinking water. In Congress, Amir will fight to ensure these crises never happen to our communities again.
Unleashing American Energy and Fighting the Green New Deal Scam
While the Biden Administration was forced to bend the knee to Saudi Princes for oil, President Trump and his administration are unleashing American energy production at unprecedented rates and lowering the cost of energy for millions of Americans.
In Congress, Amir will join President Trump in this effort while combatting Kristen McDonald-Rivet and other extreme Democrats in their efforts to pass the Green New Deal Scam and other burdensome and unnecessary cost-raising bureaucratic regulations.
Standing up to China and Banning Chinese Ownership of US Farmland
China has taken advantage of Americans for years – President Trump’s efforts to rebalance American trade are righting those wrongs. Amir knows that you have to stand up to bullies to get respect, and that’s what President Trump is doing with China – to rebalance our trade, restore good-paying American jobs, and once and for all end the scourge of fentanyl.
We also need to look with concern to the Chinese purchasing of critical US infrastructure and farmland. From Democrats’ secret Gotion deals, to Chinese ownership of US farmland, Amir would fight for legislation to ban these practices – because our critical resources should never be owned by the Chinese Communist Party.
